The grasshopers at my other area are out of control

Grasshopers have torn through a different area those peas are toast but can I kill off the eggs for next years wave?

Grasshopper eggs are laid just beneath the soil surface so maybe, possibly lightly tilling the soil will expose the eggs so predators can find and eat them. There is a bait, "NOSEMA LOCUSTAE" that you can scatter around to control the adult hoppers.
