Beetles on Corn

Posted by YanksFan7 VA (My Page) on

My corn has just started developing ears over the past couple of days. However, today I found two long black beetles in the silks of one. They didn't have any markings.
What are they? Should I be concerned? If so, how to I get rid of them?

Next time you see one, try to get a picture so that we can see size, shape, and other features.
