Amber sap on cherry tree

Hi,

We have a 40 year old cherry tree in garden.

We noticed a clear amber sap on one of the branches.

I've attached a photo.

Is it a kind of illness? If it is what can be done to help it?

Other information about the tree:

1) We had it pruned last autumn.

2) It gives sour cherries or bright red. I am not sure but it can be a montmorency cherry.

Thanks a lot,

Bob
