I do not have a photo at this time, but I live in a residential area, 6 foot fence. I planted them just for fun in our veggie garden. Now everything else looks great.

A week ago I noticed a sunflower had no head. I didn't think anything of it, 2 days later I have a half eaten sunflower head with pieces laying around. Well I saw a beetle on the plant and sprayed them.

This morning I now have ANOTHER half eaten head with pieces strewn about.

I have not seen anything during the day pestering the garden. I do plan on putting a game cam out later today, but I was just curious what would eat only part of the heads?
