Do you fertilize?

If so, what do you use and how often do you apply it?

and have you ever had a soil test done..

and what is your base soil ??? clay???

and yes ... i would plant the new bunch somewhere else ... at least until you figure it out ... if for no other reason.. than crop rotation.. how many years have you had cukes in this spot ...

and no.. i never heard of watering in sunlight.. bleaching things out.. and actually watering at night can be very problematic.. with molds and mildews.. etc ... but it sounds like you knwo that since you are now watering the soil.. and not the plant ...

i never had much luck.. transplanting seedling in july/august.. have you done this second crop thing before ... if so.. i would like to hear about your success rate.. gotta learn something new today ...

my first thought.. with a chlorotic looking plant [yellowing] .. is lack of nitro in the soil.. but as jean notes.. you havent given us any info to base that on.. and i dont like to recommend things willy nilly and have you fertilizing based on speculation ...

Yellowing of a plants leaves, Chlorosis, can indicate many things from a nutrient deficiency to a plant unable to utilize the nutrients in the soil because of lack of water, too much water, wrong soil pH, and excess of one nutrient that interferes with utilization of another or a lack of a needed nutrient that is necessary for a plant to properly utilize any of them.
