Leaf miner or long legged fly?

I had to clip off a bunch of leaf miner damage last night, nearly every leaf on one of my green bean plant was showing clear leaf miner damage, the vast majority was confined to the tips or outer edges so I just clipped off the visibly damaged parts in hopes of keeping the plant. Otherwise it would literally have like 2 leaves left.
Anyways, are these responsible? Or are these beneficial?
They appear yellowish in the pic, but they're iridescent.
