Cucumbers doomed?

Hello friends,

My wonderful wife recently took up gardening and decided to plant tomatoes and cucumbers on our back patio. She has worked very hard on it so I was disappointed to see that the cucumbers don’t look well. Some of the leaves have yellow patches and holes.
I have done some online research and cannot tell if they are suffering from Downy Mildew or Angular Leaf Spot, or something else.
Can you identify what ails them from this photo? Are they doomed? Will they infect the tomato plants if not removed?
Thank you in advance.

Those several leaves appear to have rubbing damage rather than a disease.
