squash bug eggs inside serviceberry fruit

I have found squash bug eggs inside the berries on my serviceberry tree. Does anyone know what to do? Should I try to strip the tree of all berries? Or treat the tree with an insecticidal soap. Or both, and treat all berries taken down with detergent? So much for this year's heavy crop.

I'm a little doubtful that you are seeing squash bug eggs, Joan. How about serviceberry seeds?
