'Crinkly' morning glory leaves

Some of my morning glory leaves are what I would describe as shriveled or "crinkly" . They aren't dried out. They are green and the vine is growing, but something is definitely not right. I've grown them for years and have never seen this before. It's not on all of my vines, but on perhaps half. The overall growth seems stunted as well. My "normal" vines are almost 15 feet long, but some of this problem ones are only a couple of feet or so. They are in pots of commercial potting soil and are watered regularly. Some normal and some abnormal vines are in the same containers. Some were transplanted (volunteers from the surrounding garden), but that was weeks ago, and I would think that if there was a problem relating to that the vine would either die or re-establish itself and grow normally. Any ideas?
