Ive seen the same thing lurking in my garden too! All 3 of them are sitting in a bug cage until I can find out what they are. Ive been searching too!

Looks like a katydid.....

Yes, it's one of the many katydid species....can't tell which from the image. Katydids are plant eaters, but don't typically pose much of a problem. In other words, enjoy their singing and don't worry about them too much.

Yes it is "katydid" I searched and found it. It is very young so it does not have wing yet. I let it go. :-)

I agree, Cailian....we have a great community here in the GardenWeb. Glad you let the Katydid go! They are beautiful insects.
