control of colorado potato beetles

i have a volunteer squash type plant COVERED with these pests. i have not dealt with them in the past. i have found the larvae on one tomato plant. my question is: do i leave them on the volunteer as a decoy? or should i pick and moider them? or ??? thanks folks.
