Leafminers

The "trails" are from leaf miners, the larva of a sawfly, but the sticky stuff that Ants are after is most likely honeydew from something else. Other than cosmetic the leaf miner trails do not really do much harm and the means of control is with the adults, not the larva although if you can see the larva in the leaf you can squish them.
The spots indicate something is piercing the leaves to get the sap in those leaves and that can get complicated. The Ants themselves are not that much, if any, of a problem. Besides Aphids there are a number of other insects that pierce the leaves, possibly sprays of Surround may help.
