| We have 8 rows of sweet corn, maybe 300 plants. In the past 2 weeks we have lost maybe 100 ears of sweet corn. Damage is shown in pic below. I checked a few ears. Found many had a small insects in them, similar to dog fleas. I also found a few maggot/larva type insects, green in color, 1/2" to 3/4" long.
Anybody know what it is, what to do about it? Hoping to hear of an organic fix, or treat the soil for next year. Any ideas??

| Corn earworm for the blurry green thing, perhaps flea beetles for the "similar to dog fleas". Anything here that matches anything else? tj |

| Squeeze an eyedropper full of mineral oil in each ear for earworm control. |
