Rubber Plant Pest or Disease?

Hi All,

Anyone had this problem with their ficus (see attached pic). I'm finding these brown 'pods' under the leaves, which aren't growing to their potential.

You have a bad scale insect infestation and perhaps spider mites, as well.

I take it that you are not familiar with scale insects? The population appears to be pretty advanced.

No not familiar with scale insects at all! Can I cure problem with regular houseplant insecticide?
