Pests are gone, Now what?

I had a bagworm infestation.
I got rid of them all (I think) and will remain vigilant. But what should I do now to make sure my shrubs can get healthy again?

Should I cut off all the leaves that are chewed away and damaged (so the plant doesn't have to expend energy on them and focus on growing new, healthy leaves) or should I just leave it alone? There are new branches and buds with new leaves appearing.

There are 3 varieties of affected trees: A pine, a cherry laurel, a red cedar. The cherry laurel is really the only one with leaves (everywhere) that are chomped to bits.

Luckily this is a container garden, so I should have more ability to maintain control over the pests...

Thanks for any help :)
