Hello all!

I planted this Emerald Spreader earlier this summer after being told by the garden center that this was a great shade shrub. It doesn't seem to be doing too hot and I'm wondering how to nurse it back to life or what the problem might be. It has been a record breaking summer here as far as heat and I've tried my best to keep things moist (I water probably 3 times a week with a soaker hose). Is that enough? Is it diseased? What do you ya'll think?
