i never understood why peeps dont 'see' the artwork of such ...

i will give you a break if you hate them.. and its your front porch.. but hey!! .. these are out in the garden.. enjoy them.. and quit sticking your head in the bushes.. your neighbors are starting to wonder about you .. lol ...

if you go out in the evening.. sneak up.. with a blade of grass.. and stimulate a far edge.. you might get it to come out to see if dinner is in the web ... after which you pee yourself.. and run away screaming like an 8 year old girl.. and after a few steps.. realize it was as small as rhiz suggested ... its not a pretty sight.. when you are supposed to be a manly man.. lol ...

Oh, he doesn't look too bad. I am a girly girl, Ken. But I realize some spiders are beneficial. They've been in those bushes for the 8 years I've been here. Just wondered if they bite or do any other thing that might be damaging.

Nope, they don't

There are two spiders, in the USA, that could be harmful to humans, the Black Widow (including the Northern Black Widow) and the Brown Recluse. Otherwise there may be a few that do bite humans that can produce a red, itchy welt but most do not. All spiders will try to get away from you and will not, contrary to what the arachniphoid movies suggest, jump up to devour humans. Spiders are, for the most part, beneficials although very passive in controlling insects.
