Ideas on Controlling Lesser Cornstalk Borer

This is the first year trying to grow green beans and these pests are eating the centers out of the bean stalks and killing them. My wife caught one in the act yesterday and positively ID'd him from some internet mugshots. I planted the beans late and most are only 4-6 inches high, but some are much higher and I thinking the plants have been stunted- most show gnawing marks at the base. Any ideas on how best to control them? Any organic solutions? The insecticidal soap did nothing. I tried DTE around the stalks, but they laughed and killed off three more plants last night to prove a point. Thanks
