Bumps are likely insect galls.

But the plant in this images isn't a campanula. Perhaps a grape? If so, that's the reason no obvious blue flowers.

rather see your car.. than a bird sown wild grape ...

Jean & Ken, Thanks for your responses. A campanula is what my wife said it was (she bought it at a local nursery), and it did bloom the first year we had it. I do agree that it does somewhat look like a grape, but I can assure you that we haven't seen any grapes.... The bumps (whatever they are) only really seem to be on the newer (smaller) leaves. Umm, nice wheels!

Okay, it often goes like this:
Purchase and obtain plant.
It grows and blooms. Nice, but you think it's in the wrong place.
You dig it up.
You move it to more desirable site.
Uh, oh. No flowers as before.
But look at this, now it's climbing the shrubs/trellis/whatever.

What happened? Perhaps transplant died and unrecognized feral seedling took its place? (Can't say for certain from this distance.)

Oh well, must be one of those garden mysteries that happen now & then.

I agree it's not campanula. It has tendrils for climbing. It's a weed that took over when you thought it was your plant. I have done that. Makes me laugh when it happens.

Keep the car - get rid of the wild grape that strangles anything in its way!
