seems like it is not going to produce any more as can be seen in the top that looks at if it has stopped growing.

i seem to recall.. a decade back or so.. that i tried the romanesco .. from seed .. in MI z5.. and it also failed to crop ... i gave up.. it might just not be a long enough growing season for it.. in z5 ..

Yes on the kale got a crop and still have more to pick. My question is what is happening to these plants as this does not look normal/healthy?

The other kale plants do not have this happening to them either the part which I think is disease or the top looking as it does in the pictures. Thus, I thought as it is only happening to two of seven plants that it is not what should be happening as the other ones are doing just fine and have nothing that looks like what I posted.

As for the romanesco at 128 days I would have thought I would have seen at least some type of head forming. Regardless it still have the same type of potential disease that I do not know.

You are correct that what it is, its cause or reason and remedy, will not help this year but may help in the future. What I want is to gain knowledge and understanding so that I can improve.
