be nice to actually confirm your diagnosis.. [fall really isnt a time to be worrying too much about spots on leaves ....]

and to know where you are ... and any other actual info ...

do take the time to call you COUNTY extension office.. and discuss the occurrence of such in your county ...

The two trees in question have been browning out since the start of Summer. These are not spots but entire leaves. One tree is 25% brown. The other is 80% brown. Drought is NOT the reason. The disease is new to the area (tri state area of MD/VA/WV) from what I've read. It began in Kentucky and supposedly is devasting many forested areas. I have been trying to get hold of our extension agent but he hasn't gotten back to me. If I still can't get him tomorrow I'll call an arborist.
