Leaf notcher weevil

Some of my hibiscus are being attacked by leaf notcher weevils (small white beetle-like insects that don't fly). They are eating their leaves and leaving stems behind. I have only seen 2 of the weevils as they seem to hide in the soil during the day. In the mornings I find some brown elongated material left behind on the leaves which I believe are the eggs. In my research online, I don't see much that can be done to eradicate them. Has anyone had any experience with them, and if so, what have you been able to do to eradicate them? I certainly would appreciate any help you can give.
