The first thing to do is give them a good shower. Then, after that shower, inspect the plants carefully for any sign of potential pests both on the plants and in the growing media. There is no good reason to spray them with something if there are no insect pests to be found.

It can also be a very good idea to place your plant into something that allows you to soak the pot for an hour or so. That will often bring out such soil inhabitants as ants, centipedes, slugs, worms, sow/pill bugs, and more.

Inspect your plants very carefully for spider mites, in particular. A very tiny population can really explode once the plant is brought inside the home.

What pests have you noticed on your peppers over the summer?

I do what both kimmsr and rhizo suggest and it has worked well for me. The next stop is a screened porch to start getting them used to lower light. I also add a tablespoon of lime to a gallon of water when watering just before bringing them inside. Give those peppers as much light as you can. I did overwinter peppers one year (3 plants IIRC) and one made it through. Earliest peppers ever on that plant the next year and a healthy crop to boot.
