Side note: these are not lavender plants but some other kind of plant where, apparently lavender refers to the color of the flowers. If you are not in USDA 9 and up these may be a kind that freezes and dies in the fall anyway - they look generally like something I see in the summer annuals section at garden centers here.

Your plants are a plectranthus. A Swedish ivy.

Plectranthus cuttings can be rooted in water. If you have any firm stems, you might try that as backup. One of the comments on the Mobot site said his or her plants rooted well in water.

Yeah, I think the holes are not quite enough, they're small. Bought compost already and planning to put more holes in the container. The roots were not rotten when I removed them though..thank you so much guys for the advices..
