I have a magnolia that has been battling some sort of fungus/pest for several years now. The leaves turn black, shrivel up, and drop. Mostly, the black is on the underside of the leaves, which makes me think it's insect droppings.
This insect was found on a leaf and was completely covered in dirt. It almost looked like a fuzzy little shell. You can see the spines on it where the dirt collects and the remainder of the dirt that I didn't knock off of it.
Anyone know what this is?
