Did I kill my clethra shrub?

I planted a clethra alnifolia at the beginning of September. It was doing ok, but I recently had to move it to a different location (similar light/soil conditions -- I have clay and it gets sun until 10am). I watered well (not overhead) before and after, but immediately following the move the plant started to wilt and the leaves curl/brown. It looks terrible! We also had a cold snap the following day where it got down to about 38-39 degrees.

What should I do? Prune it? Leave it alone and continue to water? I've dealt with transplant shock, but this looks worse than normal. I went out this morning after it rained to check on the shrub, and it looks a little less crispy, but the leaves are turning black (although I will mention the new growth tips at the ends of each branch are still a healthy green).
