Identify this strange insect pod?

Hello all!
Can anyone identify this strange looking pod? I assume it's an insect egg pod because what else would it be. It was hanging from one of my plumeria leaves by a very thin spider-like thread. It's pretty big, a little bigger than a quarter I'd say, in a diamond shape, with a large, rounded sac on the back. What is it???
