Peace lilies are susceptible to root rot, highly so if the conditions are just right (for the disease). Does that container have good drain holes? Is the potting medium coarse, draining rapidly? Is the potting mix saturated?

The other situation that causes collapse like that is if the plant is bone dry. I'll bet that that's not the case, is it?

Looks too far gone to save. You could remove it from the container, trim off the dead roots, cut the dying leaves to the crown, and repot. That would mean most of the leaves, as far as I can tell.

If I had the decision to make, that plant would be in the trash can. I'd not replace it until I figured out what the heck I did!

Hi, so to start it was a lovely healthy plant and then it just gave up. When I looked it was pot bound. So I read how to repot them on the Internet. I went out and brought special compost and feed but I wasn't sure what to do with the roots? Is there no chance it will recover with time?

i gave up on clay pots a long time ago ... they complicate life for peeps without greenhouses ...

i tend to also think.. its a goner..

if you want one last ditch effort.. cut it all off to about one inch.. insure PROPER watering ... and pray ... and it is not hungry ... no more fert ...

just maybe.. something will come back ...
