Can anyone identify this insect?

Hello, I think this insect might be responsible for strange patterns on almost every plant in my garden, does anyone have any idea what it is? About 3mm long, pale coloured with a camoufage type pattern. Looks like a miniature grass hopper. Any help appreciated, thanks!
