Shimpaku Juniper diseased?

Posted by bassistjon112 6 (My Page) on

I took the best pics that I could, but ill describe my problem as well. I just bought the tree online and it arrived in the condition that it is in now. I re-potted in a fast draining mixture. The tree has white affected areas, it's not declining in health but the white areas don't look normal to me.

Any ideas on what's going on? Any solutions?

there is a conifer forum ... dont see many of those experts here ...

i hope you didnt pay more than a buck or two for that ...

i am not sure if there is even enough there to ID it in the conifer forum ...

if it werent 20 degrees with a 30 mph wind.. i would go outside and see if that is normal compared to mine.. but you are out of luck today .. sorry ...

the pix arent the best.. but i have also tried to capture such.. and short of a pro camera.. it doesnt work out easily ...

what i dont get.. is why it is bare of all last years needles ...

and what is that pruning stub all about.. your work?? .. or the sellers????

I pruned the top half. The tree is about 4 inches tall.
