I have a pest on my hydroponic lemon basil, I believe it's a sucking variety but I can't seem to find any insects or identify it from these markings. Does anyone know what I might have?

looks too big for a single bug .. and if there were a million of them ... you would find them is this in a bright window.. sun.. and could a drop of water have lingered on it??? or some other fairly liquid substance ... does the injury look to be on the front.. or back of the leaf???

I'm no expert, but it looks like bruised leaves to me. Basil leaves are very tender and susceptible to brusing that results in darker spots on the leaves.
