| I'm hoping that I might be able to get an ID with just a description. I can't post a pic until the end of next week. I'm in the Cayman Islands and came across a tree that looks almost exactly like a plumeria except the seed pods are thinner and the seeds are darker with a smaller wing. The pods are paired same as plumeria pods but look like cigars. The stems and foliage look the same but I have no idea what the flowers look like as it wasn't in bloom. There were plenty of plumeria trees growing nearby and except for the pods you really couldn't see a difference between them. Can anyone tell me what it is? BTW both trees were big, at least 25' tall. Thanks |

| Karyn, could it be a plumeria species like Cubense or Bahamaensis? IIRC, there are about 8 or 9 species in the Caribbean. I couldn't find any info on their seed pods but they sure sound like they must be related. |
