Plumeria waking up
| | |
Posted by ajpalomo OR (My Page) on Thu, Jan 28, 10 at 21:58
I went to check on my plumeria's today and I noticed that they are all starting to wake up. I wanted to know what I should use to fertilize them and also how much to water them.
Thank you,
Jessi

| Start watering them more often now, but since it is still inside, it shouldnt need that much water. Water it now well, and then maybe water it again in a week according to how dry the soil is. The soil should be able to dry out, but not too much. I wouldnt give it any fertilizer until its time to go outside, or maybe a week before it goes outside because it will grow faster making bug problems a lot more likely. Once you do fertilize it maybe you should use something high in nitrogen to get the leaves growing and then once the weather really starts to warm up you can try to use some fertilizer to increase blooms, but inflos. will take about 5 weeks (sometimes more, sometimes less) to make flowers so start feeding it fertilizer for blooms maybe around late may or early june according to the weather so you will get blooms in mid to late summer, but not the very end of summer. Good luck! |
