Grafting

| I recently visited HI and i bought a Plumeria cutting, I was wondering if it is possible to graft the cutting to any species of established plant (not a plumeria) so that I don't have to wait so long for it to mature.
Let me know if it is even possible to do this. Thanks |

| Ben, I don't think it's possible to graft a plumeria onto anything other than another plumeria. If you want an instantly established plant, send your cutting to Florida Colors Nursery and they will graft it onto matching root stock for a small fee. They are excellent grafters and very nice to deal with. I did this with two difficult-to-root cuttings last spring and they grew immediately and have thrived ever since. |
