new to the forums with a quick question

Hello to all the members at gardenweb

I am a 22 year old cacti and succulent enthusiast and I recently (last year) obtained a specimen I was told is a plumeria. After careful deliberation (looking at pictures) I have come to the conclusion it may not be a plumeria.

The flowers look right and it has the right growth form. but the stem is spiky like rose thorns, Every picture I have seen of plumeria the stems are smooth.

Have I got some strange cultivar or was I sold something other than a plumeria?

I think what you have is a Pachypodium lamerei, definitely not a plumeria :)

Thanks for the response after looking the pachypodium has a much fatter stem Than the pant I have which after browsing the forum I have come to the conclusion is definitely not a plumeria

I have seen another one of the plants I have In a David Attenborough show called kingdom of plants episode 3 10:22 minute in.

If you cant see that I will post a picture when my partner comes back with the camera.
