Hi there! After the winter some plants are just severely dehydrated and some develop rot - I would try watering your plants and putting them in a warm place they won't get down below about 60 degrees - if they are truly dehydrated they should start to plump up - if they have rot they may have appearance of having "black tip" or be soft at the base. By chance are you able to post a picture? Sometimes that is very helpful in diagnosing problems.

If you have true rot / black tip, you will need to cut them. You will need to sterilize your shears with rubbing alcohol in between cuts and get to clean, white wood. Then you can seal the cuts as necessary.

Many of us have had them dehydrated as well as truly rotting so I'm sure others can comment as well and if you have a picture that would be great!
