Cuttings question

I found a ton of cuttings on the side of the road and with permission took them home. Some of them are a little soft. Do you think they will recover, or should I cut them back beyond where they are soft? Never done this before, just couldn't see that much plumeria go to waste. I included a pic of what I potted so far.

I would cut the ones that are soft but also from your picture I would cut off all the leaves and sorry the flowers also. This give them a better chance at growing roots. Remember to water once and then don't water again until they have new leaves. It might take a while before those leaves start growing. Good luck, Barb

p.s. My son twice has found a whole bunch of them just sitting in the trash on his block. Both times he got them for me. One of my favorite gifts. :)

I think Barb is right. Defoliate to reduce dehydration. I would wait and see if anyting starts to go bad before cutting. Considering their size they stand a good chance of bouncing back if it is actual dehydration.
