Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

After I cajoled and wheedled and whined for months the owner of Parkview Nursery on Magnolia/Jackson in Riverside,CA got a big order from JJ. It arrived yesterday and I had my pick of the litter today! These plants are in far superior condition to the ones that show up at Home Depot and Lowe's, trust me. Most have inflos or multiple inflos, even on the one gallon plants. I restrained myself and only got an Xquisite, a beautiful Desert Sunrise with multiple inflos and a Captivate. Though I may need to go back......

Good deal! But I had to laugh... you begged... they ordered big... you bought just one... hehehehe.... I think you better go back.

Xquisite is really nice!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Oh, thank you for posting this. That's only 20 minutes away from me (well, if I drive really fast :)

How was pricing?

Take care,

Nicole

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I bought 3! Xquisite, Desert Sunrise (even though I already have a little one) and Captivate. I neglected to mention that I put a hold on a Gina with two inflos and a J105 with three inflos that he hasn't figured out the price for. Don't worry, I will make it worth his while to have done this! And I encourage all my SoCal friends to pitch in and help!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Toomanydogs,
Does Parkview Nursery still carry Marilynns Gardens plumies also? I've only been to Parkview once, I recalled they use to have a HUGE Singapore white tree in a container, is it still there?

Thanks

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

WOWO!!!!!!!! CANNOT WAIT, HOPE OUR LOWES GETS ALL ON MY LIST....roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

AAAAAAH!!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Freak4plumeria, the big singapore is still there and already blooming!

Nicole, the prices are JJ list price, it was part of the contract. These are better quality plants than the ones that go to Lowe's, better inflo count and more sturdily rooted. Some of the Lowe's plants are way wobbly in my experience.

Roxanne, let me know if there is something you need and I will get it for you and pass it on through SimiDude!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Xquisite is on my list...how much/size was it, I can look it up on his site. Having just bought an RV...everything has to come into the yard with an invisible cloak on it... :-)))mahalos, roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Roxanne, I think there were only a few and they were 2 gallons.

Freak4plumeria, Marilyn was booted for JJ this year.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Let me see what I find when they hit Lowes. Thanks, roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Toomanydogs,
WOW... That Singapore must be huge now as I saw it in 2006, and it was a huge tree back then. I offered to buy it from them and they told me it was not for sale....
Marilynn might not be too happy...lol Seems very few places are carrying her plumies anymore...

Thanks for the info and happy shopping. I might have to stop by Parkview to check it out on my way to Palm Springs.
Thanks again

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Allison, you know my modest little list from JJ: Biggest CS3 you can find, an Orotai, and a Cherokee Geisha. And maybe a Tiger. That's all. I'm practicing moderation this year! Roxanne, thanks for checking up on me, too!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

YOU guys are so lucky!!!

Nicole ... 20 minutes? I'd drive that to get an iced tea!!! Lol...

Allison, great varieties!! You are so lucky to get that huge DS! Sweet!,,

George... Lol.. Modest little list. HA! Love the list though.., Orotai sounds awesome. I have seen pics, but I bet it's even more beautiful in person!!!

James.. You need to go just to look at the Singapore!!! Then look at all of the other beauties!!!

Happy shopping!!!!

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Laura, I said that I was "practicing" moderation, not that I was any good at it!

I think this is going to be a good year though. Lots of inflos. Counting three on Bill Moragne so far, and given how huge each inflo is on Bill, that should be quite a sight.

Still going through the Season of Hope, where I go out with a microscope 10 times a day and see if can spot the beginning of an inflo on a plumeria! Lots of reason for Hope this year.

Allison, good job once again!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

So much for thinking that I was going to behave! Ended up with Captivate, Xquisite, Thumbalina, Desert Sunrise and last but not least Dragon Tears. LOL. The plants are amazing and flying out of the nursery!

Thank you Tooomanydogs!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I am so impressed at how good you are at what you do in tracking down these finds and sharing...mahalos, roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Now that Tim has been overwhelmed by the pent up demand for JJ plumerias in the Inland Empire, he has asked me to come up with a list of what other higher end JJ plumerias he should ask John to send him. I already know what SimiDude wants and have it duly noted, but what do the rest of you locals want to see in Riverside? Please post it here and I will pass it on to Tim the king of Parkview Nursery.

Freak4plumeria, Tim is getting a shipment from Marilyn. It will be her yellow ones.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I would LOVE a big tipped and infloed Xquisite and get from George on a Home Goods tour. Or, an Orotai that is big and with inflows......asking tooooo much I know. roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Okay, Xquisite, too. My list is getting less modest.

Roxanne, sounds like a good plan.

James, my Emmerson's Pink Nova has an inflo and Stenopetala is doing beautifully! Wanted to update you! Hope all is well!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

"WOW" toomanydogs what a great score. You guys have the best shopping out there. Nice to be able to pick plants instead of getting what you get mail ordering.
SimiDude - good choice on CS3! That's one on my someday list too. Can you post a pic of the Stenopetala? I have one but it's small and has not woke up yet.
It's hard to hold back with so many beauties in your face. Peg

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I'm biting my finger...

:-). Going nuts with this info... Lol

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Peg,

Here is a Stenopetala flower. It's small but incredibly potent. Awesome scent.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

The flower pic was from last year. I just took a pic of the larger tree, to show how different it is from other plumeria. It's quite vine-line and needs support.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

You guys are just chumming the waters. I haven't made it to our local JJ place here. Its about 40 minutes away on The far east side of San Antonio. Maybe this weekend.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Thanks George. First one I've seen that isn't in a hanging basket. "Nice"
Peg

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

toomanydogs.....when will your nursery get the next shipment of JJ's in? roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Argh... Where is that shark hook?

;-)

I like that stenopetela looks wonderful!!! The big one looks great too!!

Sweet!!

Do you all know how lucky you are? I'm going nuts... Lol..

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

alas, George said there is no Orotai available this season... :-( Wished he had Kapalua... Xquisite will still be high on my kist of the JJ's....roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Peg, hanging basket? Didn't think of that. It would have to hang from a tall place. The one I have is about 6.5-7' high at this point and the leaves are just starting. Will update when it blooms!

Thanks, Laura! How is your Steno doing?

Also, wanted to mention that Matthew at Island Plumeria just got 100 Jungle Jack plants in. I believe they are all two gallon, but if you're closer to LA/Ventura than Riverside, you might call him. I'm sending him a list of suggestions for his next order, if anyone has suggestions let me know and I'll pass it on.

Totally bummed about the Orotai situation (that's California-speak for "I'm very sad that the Orotai plumeria will not be available this year").

Roxanne, JJ does have some XQuisites, I believe only small ones, though.

I ordered a CS3 from JJ today. His shipping is pretty reasonable, at least to the LA area. Now I am just holding out for a Cherokee Geisha and an Xquisite (and an Orotai, if anyone has any non-dangerous black market plumeria connections).

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Hi George !

My is doing great !! Leafing out beautifully!!

Yours looks happy too!

As far as any leads in the Orotai... I'm sending out feelers!! I'll let you know!

Have A good day!!

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Laura....feelers for THE REAL Kapalua too? Or maybe life is too short??? :-))) roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

That's it... I'm going this weekend. Jandy, Barbra, and E are on speed dail standby.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Talked to TIm of Parkview Nursery yesterday and asked when he will have his next JJ premium line shipment in. He got my list of all the requests but hasn't gotten around to it yet. Thinks he will be able to have a new shipment next week though. I will keep bugging him, don't worry!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

The Great Circle of Enablers, ever ready. :)

Already placed an order for myself and a few friends, but K likes to go and personally inspect, too. Give me a shout if you find something awesome!

George, you have fine taste and your steno looks very cool; I've never seen the whole plant before.

Laura, you and Peg will soon be visiting the Mother Ship and hopefully there will still be some plants left after Nicole, Rox, George, and Allison get done with their lists. Oh, my!

James, my lovely cutting is going off with leaves now and I'm always checking the tips. She really is a slow grower but very healthy and well adjusted to the Texas climate.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Went to Parkview Nursery just now and Tim says the premium only JJ order will come in either Tuesday or Thursday. He has lots of blooming Xanadu, pink/white and others. Large "Premium Pink" that has a wonderful scent but I must hold off for the next shipment. Big Penang Peach with an inflo too, very tempting.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Simi- what a gorgeous Steno! Love it on the trellis :)

Jen- LOL the plumeria people were showing up in droves when I was there! I don't even know how I ended up bringing home 5. How does that happen? LOL. I already have it bad this year, despite my best efforts to stay level headed about it(8 total already added). Can't wait to see pics of your blooms this year!

Take care!

Nicole

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Jen,
Thanks for the update :)
I think I did mention that she performs like a semi dwarf/super compact grower.
The mother plant is from 1979 and from the soil line up is about 6ft to 7ft tall, blooms on even a 1/2" tip, thus the inflos on every tip when she finally decides to bloom and the many tips that branch out. So if you treat her well you will find her a profuse bloomer with a plant loaded with inflos of glowing/neon color depending on where she is grown. I noticed that in hotter temps like FL, TX she looks more like Tobas fire, but in cooler coastal climates she is more reds/mauve/orange with some yellow and a lot of streaking on the edges of the petal, not as much as JJ's tiger though.
A friend in Ocean Side has had hers since 2006, since she was local she got a rooted 30" multiple tipped plant. As of a year ago it hasn't grown much.

So enjoy her but remember it will be a while before you can share the aloha.

Cheers.

RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

looks like the magic week is this coming week for sure...

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I made it on Saturday to the one stop in Central Texas for the Jungle Jacks Express as it heads to Florida. Water Garden Gems east of San Antonio. I put "Frozen" on the DVD for the girls and we ventured east on the 10 Freeway to be there when they opened.

They had a pretty good selection of the Jungle Jack named by Color (yellow/white, Pink, Premium Red, etc.) a few purple jacks, Thumbelinas, Red hots, Dazzle, Christina, a beautiful shaped Penang Peach about to bloom and a Pink/red or something like that had great potential by its shape. I hope someone buys that Penang soon. They are nice people out there and had quite a few standard yellow/whites for anyone interested in starting off.

They also had recently placed their display plumerias back in the ground around some of the water features. No leaves or blooms just yet.

I left with a few forum favs. a very well shaped 3 tip Scentsational, 3 tip Gina, 3 tip Desert Sunrise, and a not frequently mentioned 4 tip Milan.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Tim at Parkview Nursery in Riverside got his second order of all named plumeria today. I have a partial list, got there right before they closed at 5:30. Among others they have: Laredo Princess, Yellow Gina, Queen Amber, Pink Jack, Dragon Tears, Xquisite, Mandalay, J105, Adagio, Fuji Mist, Tangerine Dream, Vienna Rose and Marco Polo. Alas, no Purple Jack. Many have inflos on more than one tip and all were nicely shaped plants. Hurry on in!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I'll echo Rox's sentiment - with the Jaws theme now actively entrenched in my brain for the evening! I drive by a Lowe's on my way to work each day, so I now may start the hum when I'm a block away and approaching quickly!LOL!

kms2, toomanydogs - congrats on your new additions!

Nicole - 5 new ones? That's awesome ;-)

Alison - great to see you back on the board! Maybe we'll get to see you at another gathering this year?

Cheers!
Dan

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I'm tempted to take the drive. What's the price range for these premium plants?

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

K, congrats on your big score! I looked at the pic of Milan and it is GORGEOUS! Desert Sunrise and Gina will not disappoint!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Dan - definitely plan on making the long trip to your part of SoCal when you have a meeting, it was great fun.

Disneyhorse - they are one and two gallon plants priced at the JJ retail for that particular variety. Range is from $30 to $85. Most of these plants have inflos, many on multiple tips.

They are going fast!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I have to ask myself why I keep checking this thread...LOL. Sounds like they got in some more great stuff! Now to resist the temptation :)

Toomanydogs- you deserve the first "enabler award of the season". Thank for keeping us in the loop!

Dan- it was only supposed to be 3 plants when I visited the nursery but somehow 2 more jumped in. Happens to me frequently, sigh....

Happy shopping everyone!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Nicole.. You make me laugh.. I understand completely!! Lol

Jen. Sound like a great network set up for you guys!!! Have fun!!!
Sound like Peg and I will have to bring special protective gear for the open house!! It's going to be fun, Wish you were joining us, Jen...

I said I was going be good.., Argh!!!!

Allison. You do get the award for finding the beauties!!! Unbelievable!

Dan.... Jaws theme.. Playing in my head.... ;-)

Roxanne.. I hear you have the magic at finding the goodies too! Awesome!!!

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Okay, I got a 5-gallon CS3, and a smaller Cherokee Geisha and Xquisite. So I'm sure now that there is nothing else out there to tempt me. LOL

Jen, I wish you were coming out this way, too. That would be great fun.

Allison, all-around magnificent work. I love the picture texts of temptation I get from you!

Laura, it's been a good year already. Can't wait for the blooms.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

George, are these the ones he shipped to you? He packs so well. roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Roxanne, the CS3 was shipped to me directly from Jack Jack's. I hope to receive that today. It's about 3' tall, so I look forward to checking out how he ships it. Allison picked up the XQuisite and Cherokee Geisha for me. We'll be meeting in a couple of weeks - she has plants for me and I have some for her. Can't wait, especially since the XQuisite and CG have inflos and may be blooming then!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I almost got a Tiger, too, but I managed to practice great discipline and hold off on that one. That was tough, as I've seen Tiger, and it's a beauty.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

thought you had Tiger???? Or was that Tbred Tracy?

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

TBred Tracy. No Tiger. TBred is nice, though it looks a lot like Moragne 93. Big bloomer, though.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Wah! I want to go to SoCal and visit with you all! Would love to meet everyone and see Bill again! Laura, you and Peg will have a blast. Give everyone hugs from me! And an extra one for George :)

K, now I'm thinking about that Penang Peach...aargh. But NO, I have some JJ's beauties headed my way so I'll be good.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Jandey....I have 30 on my list for the Lowes frenzy to take place next week. So excited and hope I can figure out the felt pen markings on the ones just marked "Premium Whatever Color".... :-)) roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I'm just sitting in a bleak, barren corner of North Carolina, quietly sobbing. *sniff*

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

don't feel bad, I am getting ready to post my JJ wish list for the hunt and will be happy IF I find 5 of them.... roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

DON'T LAUGH TOO LOUD! roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Yep, I feel so much better now.

:)

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

just hoping I can figure out the code?????

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Roxanne,

Jenny and Temptation do not perform that well in coastal temps. Both just look yellow, unless there happens to be an extremely hot heat wave (like now), then you will see some color. I gave my Jenny away last season, HUGE temptation is kicking around somewhere in my patch. Jackie is another one that looks yellow in cooler temps.

Just an FYI before u spend your time and money on them.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

THANKYOU SOOOOOMUCH!!!!! roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Good choices, Roxanne! I just picked up a Laredo Princess and an Adagio at Parkview. They had more Laredo Princess one gallon for $19 if you want me to get you one and send it via George. Laredo Princess has a lovely sweet floral scent. They also have the Incognito, I was sorely tempted by it too. Last summer I got Christina and Tai Surprise at either Lowe's or HD. I love Tai Surprise! Temptation has fantastic veining here in the high heat of Riverside but trust freak4plumeria for the coastal knowledge, why waste the money to be disappointed by the lack of color. Tesla Girl is more expensive as is Xquisite so they won't be sent to the big box stores intentionally but accidents do happen! That's part of the fun of going to Lowe's, it's like a treasure hunt!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

You are a lady after my own heart!!!

Wow!!!

Good luck, Roxanne!!! I'm sure you will have fun looking at all of the stores with your networking there in Cali!!! ;-)

I can't wait to hear what you found!!

I'm excited for you!!!

Take care,

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Great list, Roxanne!

There's only one more I'm trying to get this year, but I have to sell a few of what I have beforehand. So it's plumie sale time. Wish me good luck!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Roxanne, I'll be keeping an eye on the Burbank and Simi Valley Lowes stores for you next week. Hopefully we can get some of the stuff on your list!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

thanks to you and Allison....for sure a Laredo Princess and an Adagio....BUT, wait to see what I find on Monday......So again, many thanks to Freak for plumeria to cautsioning me on Temptation and Jenny....ahhh the thrill of the hunt. IF I get any sleep between now and Monday it will be a miracle! roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Roxanne, maybe this is being selfish (I live 2 miles from the ocean in Orange County and I get cool marine layer weather more than I'd like), but I wouldn't give up on Temptation... I bought one last year, it bloomed for the first time at Christmas last year, early winter, short days cool days 60 degrees or so, cool nights in my un-insulated home, and on Christmas day I got yellowish flowers with hints of greater things with more heat... I think Temptation could still be decent once it warms up, will let you know later this season (although had it been blooming this week, after 95-100 degree days I am sure it would be vibrant haha).

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

mahalo mjhuntingtonbeach.....I ordered one Temptation that JJ shipped last May....waiting to see if it blooms this season... roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Let the JJ frenzy begin...good luck to all...this guy followed us home yesterday...roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Beautiful. Humpback?

I can't wait to see what you find....

I'm excited for you!!!

Have a great time.. Be safe!!!

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Humpback ..yes, go figure, who would think we would be clicking off whale photos with a macro lens....he was right next to our boat as we motored home....followed us for 45 minutes...SPECTACULAR!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

James, thanks again for the great info! We all keep falling in love with photos of these flowers at their very best and forget they can fall far short of their potential.

I wanted to order Temptation but John talked me into Serenade instead, said it's a more impressive compact bloomer.

Rox, do you have a small truck for that haul? :)

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Jandey, he/she just would not quit following us. I think it thought it was in Mexico and we were the pong a that had the people in it to reach over and touch it????

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Haha, Roxanne. I am ready with my list, too. I will say, out of your list, I have definitely seen at Lowes/HD (as named plants, not just "premium" whatevers) in the past:
fools gold (saw lots of these), inca gold (got one of these last year at HD), incognito, and jenny.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Attention Toomanydogs.....I would like to mail you some $$$$$ to get a nice big Xquisite at your nursery if there are any that still have plenty of inflos.....mahalos and hope I am not too late........roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Roxanne, let me call them and check. I am back to work so can't get there until the weekend. They don't open until 8:30 and close at 5:30, foolish people.

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Let me know...George is calling today after checking his Lowes for what else he wants...he said he is seeing you in a few weeks for the Orange County Meeting? roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Thanks, Roxanne. I do my best to keep the legends alive!

And Allison, I know how you fee! The See's Candies in Simi Valley opens at 10 and closes at 6! What the heck? I can't tell you how many times I've been late to work when I needed my chocolate-butter caramel-nut fix! They need to come up with some humane hours! Have compassion!!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Just sent an email to See's Candies suggesting a 24-hour drive through window, or even a dispensary ATM. Jungle Jack and Jungle Jack dealers - please consider this simple customer request!!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAAA...roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

LOL! George, you are too much!

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Many Mahalos Toomanydogs.....scored a Xquisite for me and now to sneak it into the yard via simidude....wow what we have to go thru...roxanne

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

The lesson we can all take away from this is that whining, cajoling and wheedling will get you what you want ;)

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Amen, Jen!!! Lol...

I will do as you ask!! We will miss you!!!

Just had to do the dance the other day.. Hubby didn't see a thing... LOL!!!

Jen, you asked about my mom... Yes she is wonderful!!! ;-)

Glad to hear all is well.. I'll be in touch!!

Take good care,

Xo

Laura

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Luckily my husband is a computer person so he does not notice me when I drive the car down the driveway and sneak the new plumeria into the shade house because he is so intent on his monitor screen. Love the Xquisite, mine is blooming away. So is Malika but the color is a pale peach, nothing like the catalog picture! It's only in the high 80s here, perhaps it needs more heat to be red?

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

Yes Home Depot sales Plumeria from Junkle's Jack....As a matter fact I bought 3 Plumeria which are the Panittas'Red and the Hearts' Desire and the other one can't remember the names....I kept the Heart Desire Plumeria and Returned back the Panittas' Red and the other one as well both since was Grafted....Even the man at Home Depot confirmed that it was ended grafted... I prefer that the braches comes from the Original body than having two different bodies it's just doesn't look normal....The price wasn't cheap at all...The Panitta"s Red and the other Pink colors was about 2 to 3 feet tall and priced was $39.99 each and the small ones are priced for $24.99....Just be aware or check all the details of the Plumeria that you are buying from Home Depot or Lowe's that was provide by Jungles Jack because some of them are grafted and some aren't...so I decided to buy a few of my Plumerias thru Bloomingplumerias and 1-stop-aloha thru Ebay...At least I have the exact colors that I wantd since these Two are refutable sellers...By the way there was someone posted here that needed to see a photos of the "Rare Kolika Plumeria" and as matter of I have a Tree that just Blooming at the moment so if still neede I can Post a few photos of the Rare Kolika Flowers...Thank you

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

I didn't think that JJs grafted any plants? Thought all their stock came from cuttings?

 o
RE: Jungle Jack's at Riverside, CA nursery

So did I...roxanne
