Question on Charlotte Ebert

During my online shopping this morning I found Charlotte Ebert on sale. It was listed on that site as having a rose scent but on other sites it has ranged from rose to gardenia to coconut to jasmine.

Is this because as the blooms mature they change scents? The flowers are quite attractive but I'm really shopping according to scent. Still trying to find something my hubs will truly appreciate. :)

My charlotte has a very perfume scent that is not rose. I really like the scent but I cannot id it with a flower.

Thanks. I kind of regret not ordering that one.

When you say that you can't id it by flower, why is that? So many plants, so many similar flowers? :)

I meant the scent does not remind me of any particular flower- just a nice perfume.
