I've seen that plumeria being sold on Ebay. Its partially opened pink blossoms and suntan lotion fragrance really got my attention. Can't find any information about it out there. Anyone know something about this variety?

| Be very careful on eBay. Plumeria are a hot item right now and there are a lot of scam artists that have moved in to fleece the unwary. This could be a common pink that someone has decided to give a new name to in order to get a higher price. I did Google searches for several little known varieties and was able to come up with hits for them. Unless a known reputable seller like hawaiisandy or evelyn2079 is offering it, proceed with caution. If it is an Asian source, proceed with extreme caution. I’m sure some Asian sellers are reliable, but the rumor mill says many of them are bad news for a variety of reasons. Philip |

Hmmmmm..I guess it's too late for me now as I buyed the thing,LOL. Anyway I haven't payed a huge amount of money, just about 23 bucks for the cutting including shipping. I'm usually very cautious, but the supplier ( 1 stop Aloha) have an excellent feedback and don't sell those rare Plumerias you see there that looks made out of photoshop. Just regular outstanding varieties. The soft pink color and "peachy" center was very delicate and different from what I have here so I took the risk. We'll see!. I've found a link to an ended auction of that Plumeria that can post here, but I'm not sure if I can post it here or not. If you think I can post the link to the ended auction please let me know and I'll post the link. Juan |

Hi Juan, I have bought several plumeria from that supplier (1-Stop-Aloha) and have never had a problem with him. His plumeria/cuttings are of very good quality (at least mine have been) and have bloomed true to form. Joanna |

| Hi Juan, I bought from 1-stop-aloha this year and I agree that the cuttings were of very good quality. He is among the sellers considered reliable, so you should get what you paid for. Philip |

| The best cuttings I ever got were from 1-stop-aloha. |

| I did a bit of googling, and only found 1-stop-aloha offering a Plumeria called 'Siam Tulip' Most other vendors I saw offer a different plant as Siam Tulip: Curcuma alismatifolia. Which is a ginger, not a plumie. I hope what arrives is a plumeria, like the picture on the ebay page, although I've grown gingers and they can smell wonderful too. |

| Whew!...Thanks so much for your comments!. What relieve to know it's a great seller!. There's a rainbow one I want to get from them. It's 'Pinwheel Rainbow'. Beautiful!...the flower looks like a multicolor Tiare gardenia. I want to get a Kauka Wilder too. Lauri it sure looks beautiful. I was surprised to be the only one that placed a bid on that one!. Scenter - Yes it was the Plumeria cultivar named 'Siam Tulip'. Haven't found anything else other than that bid about such cultivar. I have Curcuma alismatifolia too and it sure is a beutiful flower. Scenter your name got my attention. Do you work with fragrances? Juan |
