Do you HAVE to cut the inflo off?

So in a moment of temporary insanity, I purchased an unrooted Makaha Sunn cutting from Matt Hunter. I splurged last year on one and it rooted beautifully.
However... I think the wrong cutting was sent because it looked nothing like the photo. Still, a fat beautiful cutting... BUT.... It's got an inflo on one tip. I wouldn't have gotten this one because I'm not sure I have the heart to chop it off. So.... What percent success do you guys have with this sort of thing? It looks like the leaves are unfurling a tiny bit on both tips so I'm not worried about it yet... But I'm SO indecisive. Maybe one of you can sneak into my yard and behead this thing?
