Anyone recognize this one

Ok so I think the plumeria bug is spreading here in Oklahoma. I stopped at another local nursery in south tulsa and found these big ones. I talked to the guy there and he did not know what types they are but said he gets them from Florida.

Any guesses. They want $45 each for these. Only the short one was in bloom though.

Looks like 'Miami Rose' or a seedling thereof, or it could be something totally different. Miami Rose is quite tall and lanky.

Yup Miami Rose. Should smell like Suntan Oil. Ive seen huge bushy trees of MR in South Beach by Lincoln Rd Mall and the convention center and its GORGEOUS in full bloom.

i think you are both right. Knowing this doesnt make my life easy now. LOL. maybe I can find a extra $45 laying around ;)

MR is so tall and lanky from what others say, hold on to your money or buy one cheaper on eBay :) I think $45 is too high for that. (Just my opinion of course!)

Yeah, but for $45 he can have it in his hand, blooming! :)

I think that smaller one looks nicer than the other bigger ones.

I would not waste my space as MR needs a lot of room and can be hard to store when it gets too tall. Someone suggested Ebay I agree, especially for MR. You can get a Jungle Jacks plumie for 45.00.

Ill probably skip on this one. If it was something more "special" I might. Im just getting excited that they are showing up more and more in Oklahoma. The small one is nice though since it has 3 tips unlike the others

Miami Rose is a 'moose'. In pot culture it will not bloom until intervals are at least two feet long (or more)! Yikes! It's an easy grower, but will soon outgrow your space, as others have said. I gave mine away to a good home. :-)

I'd opt for a more compact variety myself.

Did I hear someone say 'Penang Peach'??

This is mine, and I'm in So Calif. Looks just like the one in question. I'm not sure of its name either. It is a large bloom and has a great smell. I have friends with Plumerias and we just ask each other for cuttings. Free is good. When I trim my tree, I cut off 5' branches and just give em away. We just dig a hole and burry it 18" deep and it never stop flowering or growing. Steve

I do have a question. My plumeria for the longest time only opens 2/3 of the way, and I want to know if it has anything to do with soil quality or fertilizing? Steve

Steve, that could just be the nature of the cultivar (a "shell" type bloom), or lack of heat.

This time of year it couldn't be the number of daylight hours, but if it's blooming and healthy it's unlikely to be a lack of nutrients either. I'd say it's probably the personality of that particular flower.
