Seed pod broke off plant

One of my plumerias grew a seed pod at the end of last summer. A few days ago it broke off the plant. It was on the plant for 8+ months. Is this pod viable? It hadnt opened yet but the seam on one end of the pod had started to split slightly.

If its still ok, should I leave the pod alone until it dries out or should I open it and remove the seeds?

Place it in a sunny window sill or such and you should see the seed open in a few days........ and yes, your seed pod should be fine. Enjoy!

Sounds like it has matured enough to be a viable seedpod!!

Congratulations..

Make sure you either place a knee hi or something over it, if you should decide to keep it outside in the sun for it to open. One gentle breeze will carry those seeds away in a jiffy! : ) ( happened to me...)
