Rox - Kaneohe Sunburst is one of my absolute favorites!!! Mine bloomed last summer although I don't remember when and it's pushing an inflo again now - so for me, this year anyways, not a late bloomer.
I did keep mine inside during the winter so I don't know if that makes a difference.
If I am remembering correctly, mine had 2 tips, bloomed on both, split into 6 tips (although one is tiny), and now is blooming on one of those new tips!
Love, LOVE love this plumie! Smells good too! this picture doesn't do the rich colors justice but for some reason it's the only one I have: {{gwi:1178402}}
elucas101 I am so happy I read on this forum somewhere that this one esp. likes the water..ever since, I have been giving it more and it is sooooo happy now. Just looked at mine and I am not sure it will still be blooming for the luau in August, as it was my first one to take off this year. Are you close to Ventura's 101? Want to come? roxanne
