Rain dropped flowers

We had a nice storm roll through. The best part is going to collect all the knocked off blooms. Here is the handful. Aztec gold, Loretta, Penang Peach, jl pink pansy, thorton's mardi gras, JJ mini devine, mini white, "spider", Giant Star, and celadine.

I would love to have that if i was a bride to be!!!

What a gift to collect that many and have such a gorgeous decoration!! Have you ever taken a piece of driftwood and attached water holders ( from florist) to the wood to showcase your blooms?

There was a lady on the forums a few years back and some of us copied hers with her permission and made these wonderful holders.. I found some great wooden pieces at Petsmart in the reptile dept.

I wish i could smell those beauties!!!

Thanks everyone. The fragrance was great. I'll have more pictures this weekend. I should look for something more formal than the same bowls the girls eat raisins and snacks out of.

Laura, some of my larger common plumerias (Celadines and Give away pinks) were given to an event center rooftop garden where the flowers are often picked by guests during wedding receptions. I think its a great way to share. Right now they have my 10 ft tall Jeannie Jr. on loan but its going to come back to me as soon as I have a place for it.

Rox, That is a paper thin depth of field. great job on the technical and composition. Was that camera driven or software?

J, Love your optimism. Is positions #2 and #4 from left to right your Desert Sunrise? I am watching the slow development of the ETLD inflo on the cutting you gave me in March. Its roots are now out the bottom of the container and I am thinking this weekend to move it into a 1 gal pot.

That macro lens does a great job, Rox, as do you with the composition!

Yeah, K, those veiny ones are Desert Sunrise, with a Maverick and two Lemon Drops. Desert Sunrise has almost no scent on the tree, but it intensifies after picked, and the flowers stay fresh in water for several days.

My CA Sally blooms are dropping kinda fast, but they actually smell like rose--wonderful!
