Hello all- Happy 4th to those of us in the States!

I trimmed up my Plumeria Pudica a bit today and saved a piece to root. Those of you familiar with this species know that it is nothing like a Rubra... since it branches so freely, most branches outside the main trunk are tender and green.

Last time I tried this, I let it sit a week or so and it just shriveled up. What should I do instead?
