Were you in the middle of that heat wave? If so, perhaps it does need more water.

I gave my Bali Whirl away for some reason. It seemed like someone else needed it more than I did.

Hi Rox. My Bali Whirl has done the exact same thing. Only last season did it decide to bloom properly. I think it is really picky and needs time to acclimate to its surroundings. Hang in there. Totally ignore it and it will eventually bloom. Mary

The first couple of years I had my Bali Whirl she did the same thing, especially if your by the coast in June. I think I had my Bali Whirl for 3 yrs before she bloomed properly even with the June Gloom and cool temps. Just hang in there and dont give up on her, they are known for being picky bloomers initially along with Puu Kahea.

So again when you live near the coast or on the beach you will have certain blooming, growing issues others will not.
