I found the same plants in the Home Depot in Lake Mary and I didn't want to bring them home. No clue to what they were. Bought one last year from HD from Delray Growers and it was OK. A rainbow. But I also saw the same plants at Walmart in Sanford last week with the same problems for $20. Still wouldn't bring them home.

i bought 6 DSPs from HD a few months ago (in Nor Cal). Though they were in excellent condition, and only $7. The tag was from "Tradewinds". So, i guess the point is, yes HD carries them, but good call not buying. I have made the mistake of "rescuing" plants at HD, and ended up the issue from the rescue plant spreading to my entire garden!

Rachel, I recall your post about those... $7 is a fantastic buy. the DSPs are unique, that is for sure... I like them a lot.

I agree on the distressed plants. They aways have a rack of stuff that looks almost dead. I get the whole argument about how you can buy them cheap and bring them back to life. However I have enough challenges, bringing back plants from the dead is not one that I need and I certainly don't need their ailments spreading :)

I agree with everyone here. Nothing worse than having a newly purchased plant spreading disease and insects to other plants.

Again, couldn't agree more in regards to Dwarf Singapore Pink! Honestly, I do not think any plumeria collection is ever complete with at least 1 DSP! I bought mine 2 or 3 years ago and it has tripled in size! It also is a reliable bloomer for me, and even if the flowers are underwhelming in comparison to many of the fancier hybrids, you cannot beat the fragrance and the size of the inflos!

I am hoping by next year I can propogate mine or maybe I will just buy a rooted cutting!

My DSP is a fantastic bloomer and sits in full Texas sun from about 10am until 6pm in a container on the sidewalk.

it looks like a blooming artichoke with all the layers of leaves.
