Wow, that's amazing branching!
How did you pinch them? I am so careful not to hurt them in any way. How hard did you do it? How was the stem looking after your pinch? Really squeezed, only a bit? I'd do it but I'm afraid not to do irreparable damage.

I remember pinching two 6-8 inch seedlings about 2 years ago. I don't know if this is one of them though. I read somewhere that pinching helps it to branch out so I thought I would give it a try. I am hoping someone who has experience with this technique can post some pictures of their plumerias.

I really don't know if the branching was due to the pinching. I just pinched/scratched off the top 2 leaves of the plumerias and that was it. Did not notice any softening of the stem. I remember the plant continued to grow out other leaves so I thought my experiment didn't work. I was just happy I didn't harm the plants and lost track of the two I pinched.

I love Sago plants too but I keep killing the pups my father in law gives me. Hope YouTube has some info on getting them to root.

I actually grow plumerias and cycads but I thought that LoveCycads might not ring too many bells, so I chose Sago, being more popular. I just got a big Sago a few weeks ago though, the first in my cycad collection. Big indeed. I hope it will get well over the transplanting process.

I would try the pinching but I am too afraid to harm them.I have a few that are only 1 or 2 of each cultivar and they might get pretty special, judging by the pod-mother tree. So, if not other advice or results posted here, I may just not do it.
