Rocks in pots

So, I have a few cuttings to root...normally I use river pebble rocks t I add at the bottom of the pots for weight.

I was by HD and saw free black pots and tw I open bag of white chipped marble for landscaping. The bags were .50 cents for a 25 lbs bag...what a deal. Would have not thought about HD having open bags really cheap but I read it somewhere on this site.

Long story short...do any of yall see a problem using white chipped marble for added weight...could it effect the cuttings. I was going to wash them to remove the dust...before potting...what do yall think?

its actually a pretty good solution as a top dressing for established plants. They don't heat up like dark rocks nor float away like bark mulch when you water. I would not see a problem using them while rooting some cuttings provided you follow the methodologies many have posted about.
